CRDA propose Two More Highways To Connect Amaravati

Wednesday, December 18, 2024

CRDA is planning to develop two more National Highways on the lines of the Seed Axis Road to connect the capital Amaravati with the National Highway. Along with the existing Seed Axis Road, E-11 and E-13 roads in the capital are also connected to the National Highway No. 16.

The Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) is considering developing a total of three roads connecting the capital Amaravati with the Chennai-Kolkata National Highway (NH-16). According to the Capital Major Infrastructure Plan prepared earlier, only one seed access road (E-3) was to be connected with the National Highway at Manipal Hospital.

Now E-11 and E-13 roads will also be connected with NH-16 (National Highway). The main roads in the capital have been planned in a grid system from East to West and North to South. The roads going from east to west are E-1 to E-16 (E-1 to E-16), and the roads going from north to south are N-1 to N-18 (E-1 to E-18).

E-3 number has been assigned to Seed Access Road. The seed access road in the capital was first constructed. It was planned to build it with a total length of 21.278 km. 18.270 km from Dondapadu to Prakasam barrage is planned as one package and 3.08 km from barrage to Manipal Hospital as second package.

The first package of works has been completed for 14 km from Dondapadu to Manthena Satyanarayanaraju Ashram. For the past seven years, the traffic to the capital has been going through this route.

The construction of the seed access road was also not completed as the YSRCP government blocked the capital. There are problems of land acquisition for road construction from Manthena Satyanarayanaraju Ashram to Prakasam Barrage and from there to Manipal Hospital. It may take some more time to overcome them.

Along with E-3, now E-11 and E-13 roads are also connected with the highway by CRDA. A road has already been constructed from NH-16 (NH-16) to Mangalagiri AIIMS from the side of the hills. Similarly, CRDA is planning to take the E-11 and E-13 routes from the edge of the hill and connect them with the highway. They do not have land acquisition problems. So, CRDA hopes to complete it soon.
