CRDA Invites private participation In Amaravati capital Area Development

Tuesday, December 9, 2025

The CRDA, which has so far allotted lands to several organizations in the capital area of  Amaravati, has now come forward to invest the lands. The CRDA has recently called for an RFP (Request for Proposal) to examine the sites in three places in the capital city and develop them under the PPP model.

In the first phase of mobilization, the CRDA has taken 34,000 acres for the capital. The CRDA has kept 5,020 acres of surplus land with it for future needs. They are planning to take up construction work with the funds received from the sale of these lands.

The government believes that if suitable areas are developed through private partnership rather than through land auction, it will give a boost to the development of Amaravati. As part of this, a total of 58 acres have been identified in the first phase, including 30.34 acres in Rayapudi, 7.93 acres in Pichukalapalem, and 19.72 acres in Mandadam.

These lands will be used for mixed-use purposes to develop Amaravati city. This will provide an opportunity for private individuals and organizations to build residential, commercial complexes and offices. Expressions of interest have been invited for this. Bids will be submitted until the 3rd of next month.

While the land will be provided by CRDA, the planning, design, finance, construction and marketing of the project will be the responsibility of the private developers. A plan for this project will have to be prepared and submitted. As per the agreement, the contractor selected for the project has to build and operate it.

After that, CRDA will take a fixed share. Land will be given to those who come forward to give a larger share to CRDA in the building. This will provide the opportunity for rapid development of various sectors in the city and provide infrastructure. CRDA has canceled the tender for the expansion of Guntur Inner Ring Road.

As part of the expansion of the Inner Ring Road to reduce traffic pressure in the city, the CRDA has invited tenders for the third phase of the expansion from JKC College to Pedda Palakaluru Road at a cost of Rs. 34.87 crore. The deadline for these was set for the 7th of last month.

The technical bids were opened on the same day evening. UBS Infra Projects, Sainath Constructions Private Limited, NCC, Bhavani Constructions, BSR Infratech and Madhavi Engineering Constructions submitted bids.
