CRDA Given Green signal For Rs 40,000 crore construction works In Amaravati

CRDA has given the green signal for construction work worth Rs 40,000 crore in the capital Amaravati. The decision was taken in the CRDA meeting chaired by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. Ministers Narayana, Payyavula Keshav, Chief Secretary Vijayanand, CRDA Commissioner and ADC CMDs participated in this meeting.

It has approved the issuance of letters of agreement to the contracting agencies that have secured construction work in the capital. Once the authority receives the approval, CRDA will enter into agreements with the respective agencies. It is possible that work will begin in the capital once the letter of agreement is completed.

Minister for Municipal Administration Dr P. Narayana accused that Jaganmohan Reddy tried for five years to spoil the capital of Amaravati. He revealed that work is now starting again after overcoming many obstacles on the capital. He said that some agreements have not been closed.

The Minister said that a technical committee was formed and discussed them after the coalition government came to power. He said that IIT experts had said that construction could continue in Amaravati, but there was a delay of one and a half months due to the MLC election code.

The minister revealed that permission has been taken from CRDA for 73 works and tenders will be called for them soon while 19 more works are pending. He said that CRDA has given permission for the allocation of lands given to 31 organizations and the lands allotted to two more organizations have been changed.

He also revealed that CRDA has approved the decisions taken by the GVM on Monday. He clarified that public money will not be spent on Amaravati construction works. He revealed that the government will not spend anything on the Rs. 64,000 crore works and that Amaravati works will be done through various sources of income.

Dr Narayana lamented the previous government for destroying the state for five years in the name of three capitals. He said that the tenders have received a good response from big companies and all the people want the state to have a capital.
