The CRDA has decided to extend another five years payment of rent to farmers, who contributed their lands to the capital Amaravati region and also pensions to the landless farmers in the capital region. This decision was taken at the CRDA Governing Council meeting, presided by chief minister Chandrababu Naidu keeping in mind the hardships faced by the farmers during the last five years.

CRDA also decided to review the status of 130 institutions, who were provided land earlier for their campuses and given two more years to complete their construction of offices.

“We have already allotted sites in Amaravati to 130 institutions. We need to know what is the condition of those institutions. I will talk to the representatives of those organizations about that. Find out who is active and who is inactive. Another chance will be given to the organizations that come forward enthusiastically” Chandrababu said.

“We are extending the deadline for another two years to set up their offices for central organizations that have been allotted land in the capital. Top 10 colleges and hospitals in the country should try to come to the capital. We should talk to companies like Bits Pilani”, he added.

Earlier, CRDA prepared a master plan for the core capital city to be 217 square kilometers. In this, four villages covering an area of 54 square kilometers were merged into the Mangalagiri Municipal Corporation by the previous government. Messed up the master plan. We fixed it back. Now, CRDA decided to integrate those four villages

CRDA has decided to renegotiate with the Singapore government on the formation of seed capital, as the YCP regime canceled the earlier agreement reached with that government earlier.

CRDA has asked IIT Hyderabad to examine the strength of the buildings of officials, MLAs and MLCs quarters under construction in Amaravati. Initially it proposed construction of a four lane road with a central divider on embankment. However, the previous government reduced the road to two lanes. Now it was decided to   take up the construction of Karakatta road expeditiously as decided earlier.

The Chief Minister said that all the state MPs should be given organization wise responsibilities to ensure that the central government organizations build their offices.
