CPI General secretary D Raja slams RSS of playing The Role of PM Modi

CPI General Secretary D. Raja accused the RSS of playing the role of Prime Minister Modi in the country. While participating in the CPI state congress in Ongole, he criticized the BJP government for using ED and IT as targets for the opposition parties. He said that elections in the country should be held democratically. But, he deplored such conditions are not present in Bihar at present.

Raja deplored that democracy in the country has been put in an unprecedented dangerous situation, and the RSS-BJP policies are the reason for this. He criticized the central government for trampling on the people’s right to vote.

He alleged that the Election Commission for failing in its duties in Bihar. He said that elections are to be held in the states of Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka in the coming days. He said that no one knows why Jagdeep Dhankhar resigned from the post of Vice President and alleged that there was political pressure behind Dhankhar’s resignation.

Stating that the CPI had announced support for Justice Sudarshan Reddy in the Vice Presidential election, he appealed that Sudarshan Reddy be elected as the Vice President.  Raja criticized the comments made by Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Justice Sudarshan Reddy as objectionable.

He said that US President Donald Trump is saying that he stopped the India-Pakistan war. He asked why Prime Minister Narendra Modi is not saying that no one stopped the war? He was angry that Trump had declared a tariff war on India. Raja questioned how Trump would tell India not to buy oil from Russia?

He emphasized that the CPI is fighting to prevent the privatization of the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant. He flagged that Amit Shah is killing tribals in the name of Naxalites.  Raja made sensational comments saying that tribal people are being killed because forest lands are being tied up with corporate companies.

Stating that democracy and constitutional institutions are in grave danger in the country, he said it is imperative to protect the Constitution, safeguard democracy, and strengthen the Left parties.
