The election fever is slowly gripping the state of Karnataka as the general elections of 2023 are approaching in a few weeks from now. Political analysts and the latest surveys are however favoring the Congress party this time.
As per the recent survey of a renowned organization named Athasakshi, the opposition party of Karnataka, Congress would get the most seats this time among all the political parties of the state. Congress which was in Opposition now would acquire as many as 118 seats crossing the magical number of 113 required to form the government and if in case it needs a couple of seats, maybe the Secular Jantadal would help Congress to gain power against the current ruling party BJP. Despite running the state, BJP bagged a bad reputation due to many corruption allegations from the sand mafia to land grabbing. The saffron party which appeared strong before had a terrible weekend gaining a lot of anti-incumbency in the past couple of years.
Surveys from such reputed organizations are taken seriously by the public as most of the time, these exit polls proved to be authentic and reflect the mood of the voters. With this, it is pretty much clear that Congress might return to Karnataka ending the run of the BJP.
