Congress MLC Vijayashanti, who is able to come out from her long `political isolation’ after electing as MLC has cautioned Telangana people to be aware of both KCR and BJP, who are dangerous to the interests of the state.
Severely criticizing the former chief minister and BRS chief Kalvakuntla Chandrasekhar Rao, she accused him of forcibly merging her party. She recalled that she had actively participated in the Telangana movement even before KCR stepped into it. She made it clear that Telangana state does not belong to KCR.
“My party was forcibly merged. Is this the result of my fight for Telangana?”, she asked. She was furious that if the Congress party gives her an MLC position BRS leaders would oppose it. She expressed their anger that KCR and BRS leaders are making unnecessary criticisms against her. Why so much conspiracy? Are you showing a lack of intelligence?, she asked.
She also warned that people should be vigilant as the BJP is bringing forces that opposed Telangana into the state. Vijayashanti said that the BJP had avoided the promise of two states with one vote, and that is why she had left the party.
She recalled that former CM Kiran Kumar Reddy opposed Telangana and such a person is now in the BJP. Moreover, she alleged that Union Minister and Telangana BJP President Kishan Reddy is a good friend of Kiran Kumar Reddy.
Vijayashanti criticized the previous KCR government for dedicating Telangana to corporate beneficiaries without looking at the poor and weaker sections. She said that the people who put Telangana in the hands of the activists are now seeing how they have financially damaged the state.
She accused that KCR earned lakhs of crores of rupees by deceiving the aspirations of lakhs of people. She asserted that her aim is to protect the interests of the people of Telangana. In this context, she gave signals that she will act more aggressively politically in the future.
