A noose is being tightened around BRS MLC Pochampally Srinivas Reddy in the case of organizing a cockfight and a casino in a farmhouse. The Moinabad police have issued notices to him asking him to appear for questioning. The police have stated in the notices that legal action will be taken if he does not appear for the questioning within 4 days.

Police raided a cockfight at a farmhouse in Tholkatta, a suburb of Hyderabad, on Tuesday and registered cases against 61 people. This farmhouse is owned by BRS MLC Srinivas Reddy. The police, who suspect that anti-social activities are taking place in the farmhouse, are planning to register another case against the MLC.

The MLC’s lawyers gave some documents related to the farmhouse lease agreement at the police station. The police, after examining those documents and revenue records, found that both did not match. They gave a notice to Srinivas Reddy to come for questioning to collect more details.

The department took notice after learning that the free electricity used for agricultural purposes was used for the floodlights installed near the Pandembari and Gallery. The excise department officials took note as alcohol was found in the farmhouse.

The protection of the seized chickens used for cockfight in this case has become a problem for the police. Out of the 84 chickens seized, one of them died. Four constables are on duty 24 hours a day to protect the remaining 83 chickens, the seized cars and other items.

The police have identified Bhupathi Raju Shivakumar Varma alias Gabbar Singh, a resident of Konaseema district in AP, who is known for organizing cockfighting, as the one who made the arrangements there.

Meanwhile, TPCC President Mahesh Kumar Goud has alleged that MLC Pochampally Srinivas Reddy is a business partner of BRS Executive President KTR and party leader Santosh. He alleged that the history of bringing Western culture to Hyderabad in the name of sunburn parties during the BRS regime belongs to BRS leaders.

He said that the Pochampally farmhouse scam was carried out under the watchful eyes of KTR and Santosh. He deplored that the Telangana society is being pushed towards gambling by running casinos, poker and cockfighting in the farmhouses. He lamented that KTR has turned the state into a casino hub.

TPCC General Secretary Addanki Dayakar alleged that KTR is responsible for the casino, cockfighting and other irregularities in BRS MLC Srinivas Reddy’s farmhouse.
