Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said that he has seen happiness in the eyes of the poor with the fine rice distribution scheme through ration shops. He said that he is happy to see the taste of rice with rice in the house of a poor person himself. He said that the rice distribution program has been taken up to provide complete food security to all the poor people below the poverty line in the state.
He said that this scheme is receiving a good response from the people and more than 80 percent of the poor, weak, Dalit, tribal and minority poor people are benefiting. On Sunday, CM Revanth Reddy had lunch at the house of Buram Srinivasa Rao, a tribal family from Mutyalammapet in Sarapaka, Burgampadu mandal, Kothagudem district of Bhadradri.
Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka, Ministers Tummala Nageswara Rao and Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy had lunch with him. The Chief Minister, who reached their house, was first welcomed by Srinivasa Rao’s family members with harati. Later, along with rice cooked with sanna rice brought from the ration shop, they were served payasam, pulihora, thotakura pappu, gongura chutney, jaggery drink and other food items.
Meanwhile, while having lunch, the CM spoke to the family members and inquired about their family’s conditions and living conditions. They told the CM that the fine rice scheme would be of great benefit to poor families like them. They thanked the Chief Minister and the government for this great scheme being run with a humanitarian approach.
After the meal, the CM thanked them by presenting them with new clothes. Srinivasa Rao’s family members brought to the attention of CM Revanth that their family was in dire straits.
The beneficiary’s mother Padmavati said that her husband Shankara Rao worked as a GCC salesman and retired in 2015, her son studied MA B.Ed and is supporting the family by doing odd jobs, and her daughter Suhasini has been suffering from mental problems and vision problems since childhood.
Meanwhile, the family members of Booram Srinivasa Rao expressed happiness that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy came to their house for dinner due to the blessings of Bhadradri Sri Seetharamachandra Swamy. He said that he would never forget this Sri Rama Navami in his life.
