CM Revanth Reddy: Ration Card Distribution to Continue Without Interruption

Friday, December 5, 2025
Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Monday clarified that the distribution of ration cards is a continuous process and urged people not to panic. Chairing a video conference with district collectors from the Secretariat, the Chief Minister issued key instructions regarding the implementation of welfare initiatives.
He directed officials to distribute ration cards between July 25 and August 10, and asked ministers to take responsibility for involving local MLAs in the programme. Revanth Reddy noted that the state’s initiative to provide fine rice has increased demand for ration cards. Over 7 lakh new ration cards have been issued so far, he said, and instructed that distribution should take place across all mandal headquarters.
The Chief Minister also reviewed the status of monsoon preparedness, crop cultivation, and seasonal diseases. Addressing concerns about fertilizer shortages, he termed the rumours baseless and said there is adequate stock available in the state. He instructed officials to display stock levels on notice boards at all outlets and asked police and agriculture officers to monitor fertilizer distribution closely.
Collectors were held responsible for preventing the diversion of fertilizers. CM Revanth warned that strict action would be taken if subsidized fertilizers are misused for non-agricultural purposes. He also directed the release of ₹1 crore to each district collector for emergency expenditures during the ongoing season.
