As per the schedule, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy was supposed to conduct an aerial survey in Kamareddy district. However, due to unfavorable weather conditions, the he has postponed his visit. Following this, he held a review with ministers and officials at his residence.
Minister Seethakka issued instructions to officials to conduct direct visits to flood-affected areas and advised them to inspect the houses in low-lying areas, immediately shift the people in the flooded houses to rehabilitation centers, and take steps to drain the water from the flooded houses.
District in-charge Minister Seethakka held a teleconference on the flood situation in Kamareddy district. Government advisor Shabbir Ali, Zaheerabad MP Suresh Shettkar, Collector, SP and district officials of all departments participated in this meeting.
The officials provided the minister with details on the intensity of the rains, flood situation and damage in the district. On this occasion, Seethakka made several suggestions to the officials. Even though the rains have subsided, the minister made it clear that there should be no lack of alertness. Minister Seethakka said that he will personally visit the district and review the situation as soon as the weather improves.
Meanwhile, BRS senior leader and Siddipet MLA T. Harish Rao, Dubbaka MLA Kotha Prabhakar Reddy and former Medak MLA Padma Devender Reddy are visiting the areas submerged in water due to heavy rains in Medak district. They are roaming around the flooded villages and assuring the victims that they are there. They are visiting the people.
Former Chief Minister BRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao has expressed concern over the disruption of public life due to the heavy rains in the state. He expressed shock over the floods in several districts from Adilabad, Nizamabad, Medak, Warangal to Khammam, in which houses have been submerged in water, roads have been cut off, the transport system has been disrupted and people are facing serious difficulties.
The former chief minister called up the party leaders from the flood-affected districts and alerted them to this extent. He instructed them to be available to the people in the flood-affected areas and take their part in providing relief measures.
