CM Revanth Reddy Comments on Cabinet Expansion

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy addressed key issues surrounding the state’s Cabinet expansion, affirming that no expansion is expected in the near future. Speaking to the media during his visit to Delhi today, Reddy clarified that the leadership would make the final decision on the Cabinet composition and that he was not proposing any names for consideration.
On the subject of cases against opposition leaders, the Chief Minister emphasized that all actions would follow the legal process. He stressed that there was no intention to arrest opposition leaders hastily and send them to jail. Revanth Reddy further assured that the government was focused on finding permanent solutions to the ongoing issues.
The Chief Minister also mentioned that the state government had conducted a caste enumeration survey, which he believes will provide a lasting solution for Muslim reservations. He noted that the BC (Backward Classes) population had increased by 5.5 percent based on the survey. Regarding the PCC’s new executive committee, he confirmed that an announcement would be made within two days.
No Appointment Request Made to Rahul Gandhi
Revanth Reddy also clarified that he had not requested an appointment with Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. He dismissed speculation about his relationship with Gandhi, stating that it was irrelevant to him. The Chief Minister emphasized that critical decisions regarding the government and the party would be made by the leadership.
Revanth Reddy reiterated that his focus remained on fulfilling the responsibilities assigned by the party and that personal decisions would not interfere with his duties. He further stated that responding to every piece of criticism was unnecessary and that his objective was to complete the tasks at hand.
