Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy challenged Prime Minister Narendra Modi or former Chief Minister KCR or both of them for a open debate on farm loan waiver. He addressed a public meeting of the `Rythu Panduga”, to mark the completion of one year of his `Praja Palana’.
He asserted that ‘I would like to proudly say to the farmers of Telangana I am challenging the CMs of 29 states, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and KCR. Since independence, which state in this country has a history of waiving off loans of Rs 17,865 crore to 22,22,062 farmer families in 10 months and 25 days?”.
He revealed that Rs. 2747 crore has been recently released for loan waiver for 3.14 lakh people who were not able to get loan waiver due to various reasons. In the first year of coming to power, Rs. 20 lakh farmer families were given loan waiver.
Revanth Reddy has made it clear that the government that waived off farmer loans worth Rs 21,000 crores is his. ‘November 30th .. Today is the day when a great change has come in politics .. I want to remind you .. On November 30, 2023, a swarm of ants demolished the gates in 35,000 polling booths in the state and made the Congress win with 92 lakh votes and supported Sonia Gandhi,’ said Revanth.
Recalling that those were the days when the people stood united for their child with such affection and courage, Chief Minister said that he will never forget it. He said that he had faced many difficulties when he emerged as a black child in Palamuru and a farmer’s child in Kondaredipally, which is close to the forest area.
He said that he has seen tears, tears of sorrow, migration, the visits of the village masons, the tears of couples who leave their old and young children at home and migrate to Mumbai. He expressed his grief that it would be painful if Mumbai migrants were leaving in droves in Achampet, Nagarkurnool and Wanaparthy areas.
Revanth Reddy said that he used to think that day that if we come to power, we should stop this migration.. but will it come so easily? But today that opportunity has come, said Revanth. 70 years ago, he recalled that in the united Hyderabad state, Burdula Ramakrishna Rao was the CM of the state. After 70 years, a Palamuru child got the opportunity to become the CM again. He said that as a child of Palamuru, he will stand by the people with the blessings of all the elders.
