Speaking at the event, the Chief Minister said epics like Ramayana and Mahabharata are an integral part of Indian life and culture. He described the launch of Shrimad Bhagavatam at Ramoji Film City as a moment of pride for Telangana.
“Ramoji Rao has developed an extraordinary facility. Though I haven’t visited Universal Studios, I can proudly say that Ramoji Film City is one of the finest in the country—and it’s located in Telangana,” he said.
Revanth Reddy lauded the initiative to bring Shrimad Bhagavatam to the screen and recalled the impact of the Ramayana television series produced by Ramanand Sagar four decades ago. He noted that the series set a global viewership record during its re-telecast in the COVID-19 pandemic and expressed hope that Shrimad Bhagavatam – Part 1 would achieve similar success.
Highlighting his government’s long-term economic goals, the Chief Minister said Telangana aims to become a \$1 trillion economy by 2035 and a \$3 trillion economy by 2047. He added that a Vision 2047 document is being prepared, with a special chapter dedicated to the film industry.
