Visakhapatnam: Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy launched the election campaign for the upcoming Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections, expressing the YSR Congress Party’s ambition to secure all 175 seats. During the ‘Siddham’ meeting at Sanghivalasa in Bheemunipatnam mandal, Visakhapatnam district, he urged party workers to prepare for the elections, expected in about 70 days, and work as dedicated “soldiers.”

Emphasizing an intense campaign, Jagan Mohan Reddy called on party members to visit every household and educate the public about the positive changes brought by the YSRCP government over the past five years. He contrasted this with alleged deceitful practices of the previous Telugu Desam Party government led by Chandrababu, urging supporters to frame the election as a battle between ‘good’ and ‘evil’ that determines the future of the people.

Jagan Mohan Reddy asserted the importance of choosing a party that uplifts the poor and secures the future of children. He cautioned against falling for false promises from the opposition parties, particularly the TDP and its allies. Dispelling the need for alliances or star campaigners, he identified beneficiaries of government schemes as the true ‘star campaigners’ and encouraged party workers to enlist them for support.

Drawing parallels with the Mahabharata, he referred to the election as ‘Kurukshetra Yuddham,’ highlighting the schemes implemented by the YSRCP as arrows in the battle against conspiracies and false promises from the opposition. Jagan Mohan Reddy proudly highlighted achievements in various sectors, including education, healthcare, and agriculture, reaffirming the commitment to social justice and the party’s dedication to its activists.
