Andhra Pradesh’s Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy has been ticking all the boxes he promised during his Padayatra before the 2019 elections. This morning, the CM disbursed funds to eligible lawyers under the scheme ‘Law Nestham’.

Jagan has set up the scheme ‘Law Nestham’ to aid the young advocates who finished the law and to settle down as a professional lawyers for the first three years post their completion of the degree. He has released one crore plus rupees today for the eligible 2, 011 lawyers this year and they get 5,000 rupees each per month for three years in a row. Already the scheme is running successfully as the AP Govt had spent 35 crores by now, aiding almost 3,500 lawyers in the last three and half years.

YSRCP Chief stated that his government has pledged to help the young advocates and he is striving hard to set up many more schemes for them. He revealed the corpus fund set up, where the AP Govt allocated 100 crores to support lawyers in the AP state which are taken care of by the Advocate General of the State along with the secretaries of the Ministry of Justice and Finance as core members. CM added that 25 crores from these corpus funds were spent on aiding the lawyers during the Covid time. Seems Jagan is highly banking on his freebies which might fetch him power in 2024 yet again.
