In the early days of the formation of the government, he made key suggestions in the appointment of their staff.
After the formation of the coalition government, CM Chandrababu suggested that the ministers should take decisions without any kind of criticism regarding their personal staff. There are allegations against the staff in the case of some ministers. A few days ago, after allegations were made about the staff of Home Minister Anitha, she removed her PA.
After that, the ministers became alert. There are criticisms against the OSDs and personal staff of some ministers. Complaints have been received about some ministers continuing to employ those who worked during the YSRCP regime. The Chief Minister has sought reports on criticisms against some staff working for ministers of key departments.
Action is being taken based on them. Recently, the issue of removing Minister Kollu OSD has become a topic of discussion among ministers. The government has sidelined Rajababu, who was working as an OSD for Excise and Mines Minister Kollu Ravindra. Rajababu is an officer in the Mines Department.
He retired in March 2024 after working as a Joint Director in that department. After the coalition government came to power, there was severe criticism at the time when negotiations were underway to appoint him as an OSD for Kollu Ravindra. Many criticisms and allegations were made against him when he worked in the Mines Department.
Even though questions were raised about how such an officer could be appointed as an OSD by the minister, the minister did not take it into account at that time. He appointed Rajababu as his OSD. During this 10-month rule, there have been many allegations against the performance of the mines department and appeal revision cases.
The developments in the Rajababu affair have come to the attention of Chief Minister Chandrababu. The CM has sought a report on these and has ordered the removal of the OSD altogether. With this, it is reported that Rajababu has taken the decision to step down from his duties with the information that the government is going to remove him.
Now, it seems that the Chief Minister is collecting information on the performance of personal staff of other ministers as well. With this, the ministers have become alert about their staff. It seems that reports are being prepared against some of the staff in the peshies of some ministers as there are allegations against them. It is said that action will be taken against them based on the reports.
