Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has made it clear that maintaining law and order in the state is his top priority and there is no compromise on this matter. “Investments will come only when law and order is good. People will get employment and job opportunities. The growth rate of the state will increase. This is my policy when I am the Chief Minister of the joint state,” he said.
The Chief Minister held a meeting with the SPs of the districts in the wake of posting new SPs for 14 districts. While some SPs attended the meeting directly, some SPs of other districts participated in the meeting through video conference. On this occasion, CM Chandrababu warned not to ignore crimes under the guise of politics.
“The pattern of crimes has changed. New types of crimes… new types of criminals have come. The police also need to be updated in this regard. Only then can we maintain law and order firmly,” the CM said. Stating that once upon a time, politicians used rowdies and criminals for their needs, Chandrababu cautioned that today they commit crimes under the guise of politics.
“Politics has been criminalized. Every police officer should study what happened in the former minister Vivekananda Reddy’s murder case. They called the brutal murder a heart attack. Then they called it murder. Then they blamed me. They said CBI was needed. Then they said no. No other case in the country has had so many twists and turns,” the Chief Minister recalled.
The Chief Minister warned that we should all remember that we are running governments in the days of such people. “Today, the pattern of crimes has changed. This means that your method of investigation should also change. Use technology 100 percent. Technology gives the best results in investigation,” he said.
CM Chandrababu asserted that there should be friendly policing, but criminals should be afraid. He said that crimes will decrease if they think that if they do something wrong, they will be caught.
“Work in harmony and coordination with public representatives. If they do something wrong, punish them, no matter which party. There is no compromise on this matter. If there is something good in what our MLAs and ministers say, follow it. If there is something wrong, I will not tell them to do it. Our party will not tell them. This is a coalition policy,” he added.
