Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has called for making AP the address of AI and the Visakha CII Summit should discuss positive policy making in addition to investments for the state. He instructed the officials to create activities so that the platform is not confined to investments and agreements, but also knowledge sharing and brainstorming on various issues.
At the Undavalli CM Camp Office, CM Chandrababu held a high-level review of the CII Partnership Summit to be held in Visakhapatnam on November 14 and 15. He instructed that the Partnership Summit should be designed so that discussions can be held between investors and policymakers on the lines of Davos.
The CM said that if policies are brainstormed in these sessions, which will be conducted on a topic-wise basis, it will be beneficial for the industries, the government and the people. He said that topics like AI for Good, semiconductors, healthcare, innovation, R&D, space, drones, electronics, and medtech should be discussed in the conference.
He suggested that topics like smart manufacturing, chain linkage, and manufacturing of quality products should be discussed. He made it clear that activities should be designed to discuss topics like roads, inland waterways, warehouses, and cold storage’s in the logistics sector, as well as topics like agritech, value addition in rare earth minerals, clean Andhra, circular economy, and P4.
Chandrababu said that government policies are key to industrial progress, and it is because of these that giant IT companies like Google have come forward with huge investments in AP. He said that Visakhapatnam has become a happening city with the arrival of Google. He said that trade and industry have the opportunity to come forward with investments only with positive policies, thereby creating opportunities for wealth creation.
CM Chandrababu Naidu advised the officials to continue the process of developing human resource skills required by industries. He suggested that the issue of providing home-stay accommodation to those attending the CII Summit to be held in Visakhapatnam should be considered. He clarified that the international level partnership conference is being organized in the interests of the country.
