CM Chandrababu says Rs 1 lakh crore worth welfare, development programs taken during last 16 months

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu recalled that more than Rs. 1 lakh crore worth welfare and development programs have been taken up during the last 16 months. In a message on the occasion of the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, the CM said that NTR Bharosa Pensions worth Rs. 2,758 crore are being provided every month, which is unprecedented in the country.

CM Chandrababu called on everyone to be a partner in the P-4 program, calling on all of us to re-engage in this goal. The CM said that reforms are what will change the future. Stating that poverty eradication is not just about providing financial assistance, CM Chandrababu said that it is about protecting their self-respect, providing opportunities for growth and moving forward on an equal footing with everyone.

He said that the main goal of Swarna Andhra Vision 2047 is poverty eradication. He revealed that the coalition government has been working from day one to achieve that goal. CM Chandrababu said that 207 Anna canteens are being reopened across the state and the hunger of the poor is being satisfied for just Rs. 5. He revealed that under the ‘Deepam 2.0’ scheme, 3 free cooking gas cylinders are being given to poor women every year.

Similarly, with the aim of educating and promoting the education of poor children, he said that financial assistance of Rs. 15,000 per year is being provided to the number of people studying in the house under ‘Talliki Vandanam’. He reminded that free travel facility in RTC buses has been provided to every woman under the ‘Stree Shakti’ scheme, and Rs. 7,000 has been deposited as the first installment to farmers under the ‘Annadata Sukhibhava’ scheme.

CM Chandrababu said that Rs. 246 crores have been given under the ‘Matsyakarn Sevalo’ scheme and Rs. 435 crores under the ‘Auto Driver Sevalo’ program. He said that the P-4 Zero Poverty program is the way chosen to bring light to the lives of the poor while providing welfare schemes.  He said that there is a need to bring reforms in line with the changing times.

Students who won the competitions organized for students as part of the state government’s ambitious Super GST-Super Savings campaign on GST reforms met CM Chandrababu at the Secretariat. 17 students from 13 joint districts emerged as winners. On this occasion, CM Chandrababu presented certificates to the winners.
