CM Chandrababu Naidu Orders Immediate Reports on Three TDP MLAs

Friday, December 5, 2025

In Andhra Pradesh, TDP leader N. Chandrababu Naidu is toiling day and night to propel the state’s development while providing strength to the ruling alliance. As the coalition chief, Naidu has been working day and night towards strengthening relationships among the three parties and their issues of concern. Being one of the important partners of the NDA alliance at the center, he often visits Delhi to attend important meetings, ensuring the voice of the state gets heard at the national level.

But of late, a controversy has arisen within the party. Three of the TDP MLAs were implicated in big controversies and Naidu was forced to act fast. Even while making arrangements for a vital visit to Delhi, Naidu directed instant reports on the conduct of these MLAs, indicating that he was determined to keep the party disciplined.

Guntur West MLA Naseer has been embroiled in a scandal that has taken no time to gain traction. Naseer is said to have had an illicit affair, and when the woman brought it out, he threatened to kill her, as reported. The woman acted fast, reporting to the police and posting horrific videos of the threats on social media. The issue went viral, revealing Naseer’s actions. As a new MLA, Naseer is finding it hard to deal with the backlash, and Naidu as well as party leaders have expressed their strong disapproval of his actions.

In a different disturbing incident, senior TDP leader Kuna Ravi Kumar, who was once a party whip, has been charged with misconduct. Ravi is said to have reached out to a female principal, Soumya, in his constituency and asked her to conduct a late-night video call on WhatsApp. She went public about the incident on Sunday and accused Ravi of making similar moves towards other women. Also, Soumya alleged that she was ousted from her role as principal without her awareness and replaced by a woman. This has put Ravi in a compromising position and also generated widespread outrage within the party.

Concurrently, Anantapur Urban MLA Daggupati Venkateswara Prasad, also in his first term, has found himself entangled in a succession of party internal conflicts. Prasad, according to reports, threatened to murder another party leader, which put a chill down the spines of party colleagues. Furthermore, Prasad’s face-off with former MLA Prabhakar Choudary has become a public spectacle. To add fuel to the fire, a leaked audio in which Prasad used abusive words for Tollywood actor Jr. NTR, alleging that he would sabotage NTR’s next film War 2, went viral. Even when Prasad claimed the audio was leaked and not his, damage had already been inflicted on his reputation.

While all three MLAs have been involved in controversies on one day, Naidu has shown firmness by ordering a detailed examination of their conduct. The Andhra Pradesh political scene is now keenly observing what action will be taken against the concerned leaders. With the situation unfolding,  Naidu’s next move will be crucial in maintaining party discipline and addressing these controversies head-on.
