Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu inaugurated the first GIS power substation in the state. A 400/220KV gas insulated substation built at a cost of Rs. 505 crore was set up in Tallayapalem. Now, uninterrupted power supply will be provided to the capital Amaravati.
Till now Amaravati capital region is receiving electricity from 220/132/33KV Tadikonda center. Since the construction of Amaravati is underway, they are planning to supply electricity in line with the future demand. Substations are being launched online in Mylavaram, Betancharala, Penukonda, and Kota.
Foundation stone for projects worth Rs. 4,665 crore will be laid. Rs. 1,753 crore has been allocated for Upper Seeleru Power Scheme in Alluri district. Rs. 1,042 crore has been allocated for line changes within CRDA limits and Rs. 824 crore for underground cabling work in some places.
In this context, Chandrababu Naidu inaugurated 5 substations in various parts of the state through virtual mode, incorporating GIS. The CM performed the ground breaking ceremony for the construction of a total of 14 substations and lines.
As part of strengthening the power infrastructure, AP Transco has set up new substations. On the other hand, at a cost of Rs. 5407 crore, new substations/lines of 132/33 KV, 220/132 KV, 400/220 KV, with various capacities, will be set up in NTR, Guntur, Chittoor, Nandyal, Sri Sathya Sai, Srikakulam, Anakapalle, Krishna, Prakasam, Tirupati, and Kadapa districts.
These were virtually inaugurated by CM Chandrababu. Chief Minister said the 24×7 power supply will play a key role in achieving economic development. In view of the current demand, power companies are focusing on strengthening power infrastructure in the coming days.
Steps will be taken to meet the increasing power demand. Quality, reliable 24×7 power supply will play a key role in achieving growth in the state’s economy as well. Plans are being prepared with the aim of providing quality, uninterrupted power required for setting up significant industries in AP.
A 400 KV electricity substation has been constructed in Tallayapalem as per the future needs under CRDA. 24×7 electricity supply will play a key role in achieving economic development.
