Chandrababu Naidu strongly expressed frustration with the fact that some of the leaders in his coalition were indulging in constant power tussle, thereby indicating that the behavior shall no longer be tolerated. Having issued his previous warnings, the scenario has rather worsened, prompting him to take immediate action against them. The latest dispute surfaced during his visit to Anantapur district, involving the transportation of fly ash from the Kadapa RTPP.
A rivalry erupted between JC Prabhakar Reddy and Jammalamadugu MLA Adinarayana Reddy, both vying for control over the fly ash transport issue. Despite intervention from Chandrababu, neither leader backed down, escalating the matter to the Chief Minister’s office. The issue quickly became a point of contention, with TDP and BJP leaders competing for influence, leading to heightened tensions. Supporters of both JC and Adinarayana Reddy claimed their right to oversee the fly ash transportation, causing unrest and necessitating police involvement. After three days of unrest, CM Chandrababu Naidu took matters into his own hands, summoning both leaders to discuss the issue.
MLA Adinarayana Reddy met with Chandrababu in Amaravati, where he explained the situation. The Chief Minister emphasized the damage these conflicts were causing to the government’s reputation and firmly stated that any actions disrupting peace and security would not be tolerated. Notably, JC Prabhakar Reddy was absent from the meeting.
During his Anantapur tour, Chandrababu questioned MLA Asmith Reddy about the ongoing dispute. He expressed concern over how such conflicts were harming the party’s image. Asmith Reddy attempted to justify the situation, claiming that the dispute was driven by a desire to provide work for party workers. However, Chandrababu made it clear that he would take responsibility for the workers and would not tolerate any further discord. After reprimanding both JC and Adinarayana Reddy, the issue surrounding the fly ash transport was temporarily resolved.
