Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has expressed his anger over the allegations made by forest department employees that they were attacked by Srisailam TDP MLA Budda Rajasekhar Reddy and his followers. They attacked the forest employees of the Nekkanti Range in the Srisailam Project Tiger and Markapur division at Shikhareshwaram near Srisailam at 10 pm on Tuesday.
The forest department employees have filed a complaint in this regard at the Srisailam One Town police station. In the complaint, it was stated that Nekkanti Range Deputy Forest Officer Ram Nayak, Beat officers Mohan Kumar, Guravaiah and driver Karimulla were kidnapped and attacked.
On the other hand, it seems that the forest department employees have already complained to higher authorities about this. CM Chandrababu inquired about the dispute between MLA Budda Rajasekhar Reddy and forest employees. He spoke to the officials and asked for details on this.
He expressed his dissatisfaction over the MLA giving space to disputes and directed the officials to register a case and investigate whoever is at fault. With this, the police registered a case and started an investigation into the incident. On the other hand, the Chief Minister asked the officials to submit a report on the entire matter.
Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan also directed the officials to investigate the involvement of MLA Budda Rajasekhar Reddy and his followers, who clashed and attacked forest department employees on duty in the Srisailam forest area, and submit a report.
He made it clear that cases should be registered against those responsible as per the rules. He warned that no one at any level should be ignored for violating the laws and committing criminal acts. Pawan Kalyan recalled that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and he had also clearly said in the Legislative Assembly that if they did something wrong, they should be held accountable.
Later, the forest department employees spoke to the media and strongly condemned the attack and abuse of staff on duty as a heinous act. He said that they would brief Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan about the incident. They demanded that the government take action against the MLA and remove him from office.
On the other hand, tribal groups from Dornala, Yerragondapalem, Sunnipenta, Srisailam, Chenchu and others protested, condemning the attack on forest personnel.
