Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has received a special invitation from the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take part in Reinvest 24 conference in Gujarat, to speak on solar energy.
The Prime Minister will also participate in this three-day event and on this occasion Chandrababu Naidu will discuss with Modi on floods havoc in the state.
Already union agriculture minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan and a central team visited Andhra Pradesh with field visits for a first-hand experience on the heavy flood- related damages the state witnessed due to heavy rains.
Both Prime Minister Modi and Chandrababu Naidu will meet at the Gandhi Nagar venue. The AP government has already submitted a report to the center on the flood damage and waiting for help from the center. Reinvest 24 conference will be held from 16th to 18th of this month in Gandhi Nagar.
Chandrababu will address the first day of this meeting on solar, solar-end and Hydro pumped storage power generation to be implemented in Andhra Pradesh. He will explain the incentives, priority and policy decisions given to these projects in the state. Prime Minister Modi will be the chief guest of the session.
Union Minister Prahlad Joshi invited CM Chandrababu to come to this conference. Chandrababu decided to attend the conference. He met with the officials of the state energy department and discussed with them on his speech to be delivered in Gandhi Nagar.
Chandrababu will have a meeting with the Prime Minister during this conference and will explain prevailing conditions in the state following floods and damages caused due to heavy rains. He is seeking liberal financial assistance from the center for the flood relief and rehabilitation activities.
There is a possibility to discuss the advance funds in the DPR approved by the center for the Polavaram project. With this, it is becoming interesting to see what the Prime Minister will say about flood relief to the state.
