AP Chief Minister Chandrababu recalled that on this same day last year, the previous YSRCP government had illegally arrested him. He expressed gratitude to the public for standing by him during that time, stating that he would dedicate his life to serving the people who showed him such overwhelming support.
While visiting flood-affected areas today, Chandrababu spoke to the media, explaining that he had been with the people for the past nine days, staying in a bus, and vowed to continue working for them. He lamented that the excessive rainfall, coupled with the misdeeds of previous administrations, had turned into a curse for the people of Vijayawada. He expressed anger over illegal encroachments that prevented water from Budameru from reaching Kolleru Lake.
Chandrababu assured full support to the flood victims, stating that all efforts were being made to provide relief. He mentioned that helicopters and drones were used to deliver food to inundated areas. Chandrababu promised to resolve the issue and stand by the people. He also criticized YSRCP leaders for spreading negativity about his efforts but clarified that their attacks didn’t bother him. Instead, his focus was on the hardships faced by the seven lakh flood victims. He added that volunteers and secretariat staff had been deployed in the flood-affected areas and noted that household items in many homes were completely destroyed.
