Mangalagiri: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday announced that the Polavaram irrigation project will be completed within the next 18 months and dedicated to the nation by 2027. He said the Central Government has already sanctioned ₹12,500 crore for the project. Addressing a TDP extended meeting at the party headquarters in Mangalagiri, Chandrababu accused the previous YSRCP government of derailing state systems and misusing Central schemes. He said the current TDP-Jana Sena-BJP alliance is working in coordination to restore governance and public trust.

Reiterating his commitment to good governance, Chandrababu stated that his government has taken the first step toward rebuilding the state, as promised during the election campaign. He directed party leaders to actively engage with the public, resolve their grievances, and communicate the government’s achievements, including increased pensions, fair MSP for crops, ₹15,000 crore allocated for Amaravati development, and delivery of nearly 500 services through WhatsApp governance. He further added that the NDA government at the Centre continues to support Andhra Pradesh, citing the sanction of ₹11,400 crore for the steel plant project.
