Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu paid rich tributes to Amarajeevi Potti Sriramulu on his birth anniversary. The event was held at the CM’s residence in Undavalli, attended by Minister Narayana and Doondi Rakesh, among others.
Addressing the gathering, Chandrababu announced the installation of a 58-foot statue in the capital city, commemorating Potti Sriramulu’s 58-day hunger strike that led to the formation of Andhra Pradesh. He also revealed plans to establish a memorial park and take steps to develop Sriramulu’s native village in Nellore. Additionally, a museum and a modern high school will be constructed in his honor.
Chandrababu further announced the launch of the P-4 system from Ugadi, aimed at eliminating economic inequalities. He urged everyone to work with the spirit of Potti Sriramulu and uplift at least ten fellow Telugu people.
The government has also decided to organize year-long celebrations marking Potti Sriramulu’s birth anniversary, which will continue until March 16 next year.
