This is a very historical meeting. Back in 1995, Bill Gates visited Andhra Pradesh when Naidu was already known as a visionary leader, and Naidu had discussed the state’s potential in the IT sector in detail with the founder of Microsoft. Almost three decades later, their conversation at Davos went to the field of artificial intelligence, which depicts the changing dynamics of global conversations in terms of technology.
According to sources, in this discussion, Naidu reportedly mooted the proposal to set up AI development centers by Microsoft in Andhra Pradesh. If this would persuade Gates, then this can bring an extreme amount of prominence for the state globally and create it a big technological hub for the state. Considering how many times Naidu’s vision for the state had found its approval with Gates previously, it was hoped that this move might also mark the opening doors for innovative solutions and investments for the technology sector of Andhra Pradesh.
