Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu convened a meeting with TDP leaders at NTR Bhavan in Hyderabad today, focusing on strategies to strengthen the party in Telangana and increase membership.
During the meeting, Chandrababu reflected on the party’s four-decade journey, discussing its ups and downs and notable achievements. The discussion also centered on reinforcing TDP’s presence in the upcoming Telangana local body elections. Telangana TDP leaders provided guidance on fortifying the party from the village level to the state level, urging the leadership to coordinate closely with local cadres.
Chandrababu hinted at the formation of new TDP committees in both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, with membership registration likely to commence within the next 15-20 days. He emphasized that committee formation will proceed only after the membership registration is completed.
Addressing the gathering, Chandrababu expressed the party’s intention to strengthen TDP in Telangana, announcing plans to appoint a Telangana TDP president soon. He acknowledged that TDP could not participate in recent Telangana elections due to special circumstances but affirmed his respect for the sentiments of the people of Telangana. Chandrababu also emphasized his commitment to resolving issues between the two Telugu states and revitalizing the party’s presence in Telangana.
