Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu announced that the Srisailam shrine will be developed on the lines of Tirumala. He said that all kinds of steps are being taken to develop the Srisailam temple surroundings as a major tourist destination. The Chief Minister also said that steps will be taken to develop the Nallamala forest area.
He announced the constitution of a ministerial committee with Pawan Kalyan, Anam Ramanarayana Reddy, Janardhana Reddy and Kandula Durgesh to formulate a master plan for this. He also ordered MPs, MLAs and public representatives to submit a report with suggestions and recommendations on the development of Srisailam.
Chandrababu said that the District Collector and other department officials will also formulate a master plan for the development of Srisailam and accordingly, Srisailam will be developed on the lines of Tirumala. Chandrababu said that there are many tourist places around Srisailam and he is trying to develop Srisailam as a spiritual and religious center.
There is a possibility of a tiger safari in Thummalapalli, and that Srisailam is a wildlife sanctuary. He said that the Srisailam ropeway will give a good experience. He said that there are caves and hills near Srisailam, and there are trekking and meditation centers in the nearby hills. He said that a ring road has been built in Srisailam along with the width of the roads.
Earlier, CM Chandrababu Naidu, who had launched a sea plane at Vijayawada Punnamighat, went to Srisailam in the same seaplane. He visited Srisailam Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy. Later, speaking to the media, he said that Sunni Pent should be made habitable and employment opportunities should be provided to the locals.
The CM said that the 13th century Gandikota is a world-famous place and that there are good opportunities for adventure activities in Gandikota and that if Gandikota is developed, it will become a beautiful tourist destination. He said that the issue of bringing seaplane services to Gandikota is also being considered.
He revealed that proposals have been sent to the Center for development works in Gandikota with an investment of Rs. 80 crore. Chandrababu said that if all the tourist areas like Arakuloya, Lambasingi, Prakasam Barrage, Konaseema, and Dowleswaram Barrage are connected, the tourism sector will develop.
