Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu addressed a media gathering at the state secretariat, underscoring the importance of the Polavaram project as the state’s lifeline. He alleged that the previous government disrupted the Amaravati capital development and damaged the Polavaram project. The Chief Minister expressed concern over the current environment, which he claimed discourages investments in the state.
Highlighting his earlier initiatives, Chandrababu said, “When I spoke about technology and IT in the past, I faced ridicule. However, today, technology not only supports livelihoods but also transforms lives. It’s impossible to imagine life without mobile phones now.”
Recalling his efforts during Vajpayee’s tenure as Prime Minister, he shared how he advocated for modern infrastructure after observing Malaysia’s road network. “I explained financing methods for road construction, which led to the development of four-lane, six-lane, and even 14-lane highways,” he said, adding that his contributions to Hyderabad, such as the 160-km Outer Ring Road and the international airport, have become key revenue generators for Telangana.
Chandrababu emphasized the coalition government’s focus on development and welfare. “We are committed to creating wealth, utilizing increased revenue for welfare schemes, and ensuring empowerment. Our Vision 2047 outlines specific goals for comprehensive growth. By 2047, Andhra Pradesh aims to achieve a $2.4 trillion economy with a per capita income of $42,000,” he stated.
The Chief Minister also highlighted India’s unique strengths, including its cultural and family systems, and emphasized the advantages of initiatives like Aadhaar. He reiterated his commitment to inclusive development, ensuring public participation in achieving the state’s long-term goals.
