While one hand focusing his attention to alert the party leaders to be cautious during counting of votes on June 4, TDP chief and former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu is said to be concentrating his attention on the formation of the next government.

As the political environment is suggesting TDP and its allies are likely to get an absolute majority in AP Assembly polls, soon after returning from his foreign tour he said to be meeting key party leaders in this regard.

His meeting with Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan on Friday also said to be intended to have preliminary discussions on the formation of the next government, besides precautions to be taken during counting of votes.

During a teleconference with party leaders on Wednesday, Chandrababu hailed the role played by Pawan Kalyan during present elections. Stating that Pawan worked very hard in the polls, the former chief minister appreciated that he stuck to his words from the beginning and gave full cooperation.

Ignoring several provocative measures from his own community and high-level pressures to compromise with Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy, it was Pawan who constantly pleaded for TDP, Jana Sena and BJP alliance to avoid division of anti- YCP votes. His determination helped for reaching out alliance with BJP, many felt.

Chandrababu also felt that alliance with BJP was also very useful. He said that the YCP attacked after polling due to the fear of defeat and referred to speculation that YCP will  be limited to 35 seats.

During an informal meeting with party leaders, Naidu expressed confidence that they are going to form the government in the state. He appreciated the party leaders and cadre for doing a good job of electioneering.

A discussion was also held in the teleconference on Government Advisor Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy’s criticism of the Election Commission.

Referring to Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy blaming the Election Commission (ECI), Chandrababu rediculted stating that it seems they are already preparing the ground to claim they lost because of ECI.

”We had to fight a lot to stop the irregularities of the ruling party. EC did only a few of the things we asked for. Our leaders were attacked in places like Macharla, Tadipatri and Chandragiri because of the pro-YCP officials. Even today some people are still receiving treatment in hospitals”. he added.
