Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu lamented that all the sins committed by the previous YS Jaganmohan Reddy government have become curses for the people. He said that three breaches of Budameru, where water enters the city, were repaired on Saturday and even the Army has appreciated the actions of the state government.
Due to the filling of the drains, he said that the water has stopped coming into the city. He alleged that Budameru has suffered due to the historical mistake made by the previous government. He criticized that even the funds sanctioned by the earlier Telugu Desam government were not spent for the strengthening of its bunds.
Chandrababu said that there are suspicions that the YSRCP is sending some unscrupulous batches so that the flood relief does not reach everyone. He said that the suspicions of this conspiracy are getting stronger in the case of the boats that hit the barrage.
Chief Minister deplored that the leaders of YSRCP are spreading vicious propaganda on the flood relief measures. He said that essentials will be distributed even if there is no ration card. Though the previous government emptied all the accounts, he assured that the government will not spare any laxity in relief operations.
Expressing concern over arbitrary comments being posted on social media on flood relief, he warned that action will be taken against those who post without evidence. The Chief Minister took severe exception over the campaign stating that the TDP has withdrawn support to the Narendra Modi-led government and its ministers are resigning.
He made it clear that the law is doing its job in relation to the case of attack on the TDP central office. He assured that if anyone is cheating in the relief efforts, he ask people to hold their shirt down. He said that those who do not receive the essential kits provided by the government should demand and take too much.
As over 75 percent of people want to give essentials to every household, the Chief Minister said that the government has decided to distribute door to door, though it is somewhat difficult.
He said that even if it is difficult, they will go door to door and distribute essentials. He said that efforts will be made to complete the distribution of essentials from house to house today and tomorrow. He said that they have reviewed with the Urban Company for those who have the skills required for the houses, and even if the Urban Company has few experts in Vijayawada, they will connect those who have been trained by the government. It has been revealed that the government will bear the subsidy and provide various services at a low cost through experts without any inconvenience to anyone.
