Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu took serious note over a series of atrocities taking place on children in the state soon after it came to power. He warned that the government will be very strict about such incidents. Speaking to police officials he cautioned them not to test his tolerance and patience in this regard.

Chandrababu expressed grief over the rape and murder of an 8-year-old girl by minors in Nandyala district and the sexual assault of a six-month-old baby by an old man in Vizianagaram district. The Chief Minister lamented that such crimes are being committed due to the intoxication of ganja, which was widely encouraged by the previous regime in the state.

He warned that his government will not leave those who become maniacs under the influence of ganja and commit such crimes. Chandrababu is of the opinion that such cases should be fast-tracked through fast-track courts.

On the other hand, the whereabouts of an eight-year-old girl who was raped in Nandyala district’s Muchumarri is yet to be found. Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha said that the police search for the whereabouts of the girl is still going on. She warned that the culprits will not be spared in this incident and they will be severely punished.

She said that a compensation of Rs 10 lakh will be provided to the victim’s family. Also, the Home Minister said that a fixed deposit of five lakh rupees will be made in the name of the rape victim in Vizianagaram.

Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha revealed that Chief Minister Chandrababu ordered a special court to be set up and investigate the Macchumarri incident and Vizianagaram incident.
