Nellore: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Friday highlighted Nellore district’s pivotal role in the state’s comprehensive development, particularly through strategic infrastructure such as ports and airports. During the inauguration of several projects by Viswasamudra Group at Eedagali village in Venkatachalam Mandal, the CM stressed the importance of balancing economic growth with environmental sustainability. Projects inaugurated included an Ethanol Plant, Nand Gokulam Life School, Save the Bull initiative, and the Power of Bull project. He also interacted with students at Nand Gokulam Life School, underscoring the government’s focus on education and community welfare.
The Chief Minister pointed out that Nellore has become a hub for major industrial and infrastructure projects, including Krishna Patnam, Ramayapatnam, and Dugarajapatnam ports, along with the upcoming Daggadarthi Airport. He also highlighted significant investments such as the BPCL Greenfield Refinery and Krib Co Green Energy Plant. Emphasizing the importance of irrigation, Chandrababu noted ongoing projects like Somashila and Kandaleru, which collectively hold 150 TMC of water, ensuring the district’s agricultural sustainability and long-term water security.
Chandrababu also praised Viswasamudra Group’s environmentally sustainable initiatives, including the 24-acre bioenergy ethanol plant producing 200 kiloliters of ethanol daily from over 15,000 tons of paddy, husks, and crop waste. He highlighted the Power of Bull project, which focuses on livestock conservation and renewable energy production, as well as Nand Gokulam Life School’s efforts to provide quality education to talented underprivileged students, reinforcing the government’s vision of inclusive development.
The CM further discussed future investments in Visakhapatnam, including the establishment of a Google Data Center with an investment of ₹88,000 crore, aimed at promoting artificial intelligence and algorithm development. Chandrababu projected Andhra Pradesh as the top-ranking state in India by 2047, contributing to India’s emergence as the world’s leading economy. The event was attended by MPs Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy, Beda Mastan Rao, MLAs Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy, Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy, and District Collector Himanshu Shukla.
