Chandrababu Assures SEZ Blast victims All-out Help, Announces Rs 1 Crore Against Deaths

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu assured that all measures will be taken for the recovery of Atchutapuram SEZ blast victims and announced an exgratia of Rs 1 crore to the families of those who list their lives, Rs 50 lakh for those seriously injured and Rs 25 lakh for those with minor injuries.

He visited them at Medicover Hospital in Visakhapatnam and consoled their family members. Chandrababu said that all measures will be taken for the recovery of Atchutapuram SEZ accident victims. CM visited Atchutapuram SEZ accident victims.

He ordered the victims to provide better treatment to the victims till they recover. Plastic surgery will also be done for those who need it. Chandrababu spoke to the family members of the victims in the hospital premises. Chandrababu expressed his grief that the incident in the pharma company was deeply disturbing.

Deploring that all the systems have been destroyed in the last five years, which are resulting in such frequent industrial accidents. He said that he wants this to be the last such accident and his government wants to take up necessary steps for industrial safety.

 
CM Naidu spoke to some of the injured and enquired about their condition. He advised them not to lose heart and promised all possible assistance from the government. The Chief Minister spoke to doctors and officials and directed them to ensure the injured get the best possible treatment.


Later, he told media persons that the incident pained him a lot. He said the reactor blast resulted in the death of 17 people and left 36 others injured. While 10 employees sustained critical injuries, 26 received simple injuries. He said that actions will be taken to prevent such incidents from happening again in the future. He said that he has been ordered to provide the best medical services to all the victims.

The family members of the deceased have brought to Chandrababu’s attention that the management of the pharma company has not given minimum information about the accident. They demanded that action should be taken against the management of the company.  Chandrababu assured that he will support the affected families in all possible ways.

Later, CM Chandrababu visited the affected families at KGH in Visakha. He said that the victims will be supported in all ways and measures will be taken to prevent the recurrence of such incidents.

A reactor exploded at Escientia Advanced Sciences Private Limited on Wednesday afternoon, resulting in a huge fire. The accident occurred when employees of a new shift were relieving their colleagues of their duties in the afternoon.
