Deploring that during the last five years of YS Jaganmohan Reddy’s regime the administration had collapsed in the state, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu announced that he will start cleaning from Tirumala itself. He expressed concern that Tirumala has been desecrated in five years.
Stating that if you come to Tirumala you have to feel like Vaikuntha, he asserted that no other slogans should be heard there except `Om Namo Venkatesaya’. But, he deplored that in the last five years Tirumala has changed for the worse, darshan tickets were sold in black and cannabis has been planted on the hills.
He expressed anger that along with non-veg and alcohol, propaganda of other religions was also allowed. It has been proved that Venkateswara Swamy was turned around and Srivaruwas even taken to perform marriages. He said now it was proved that if any one betrays Lord Venkatesha, he will be punished in this life only.
Stating that Lord Venkateswara is their `Kuladaivam’ (family God), he recalled that claymore mines were exploded when he came to offer silk cloths to Lord in 2003. In an emotional tone, he said that the Lord offered to save his life only thinking of his need for the state. He said with the blessings of Lord Venkateswara, he will think out what to do to save the sanctity of this sacred place.
He said that he wants the state to be prosperous. He said that he wants the Telugu nation to be at the highest position. He said that the cleansing of the state should start with TTD itself.
Chandrababu was angry at the behavior of the police who have not changed. He said has not subsided and is putting curtains during his visit. He cautioned them to be polite on crowd management and should not confine themselves by keeping people away, imposing curfew-like situations during his visit.
He said he does not need to do anything for his family. He said that he gave a small business to his family 35 years ago, his wife and son took care of the business and he just had to give them some time.
