Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu held a media briefing today in Vijayawada to discuss the state’s flood preparedness and relief operations in response to recent heavy rainfall.
During the briefing, Chandrababu emphasized that comprehensive measures are being taken in light of the substantial rains affecting North Andhra Pradesh. He highlighted that the state government is closely monitoring inflows into the Aleru Project and is taking necessary actions to manage the situation effectively.
Chandrababu also raised concerns about the risk of landslides in the Visakhapatnam and Alluri districts due to ongoing rainfall. Early warnings have been issued to residents in the affected mountainous areas, and district collectors have been alerted to ensure preparedness.
The Chief Minister noted that the Governor has expressed satisfaction with the relief efforts underway in Vijayawada. Chandrababu provided an update to the Governor regarding the causes of the flooding and the progress of relief activities.
