Friday, December 5, 2025
New Delhi/Hyderabad: The central government has approved an extension of service for Telangana Chief Secretary Ramakrishna Rao. His current tenure was due to end on August 31, 2025, but the state government requested the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) to consider extending his term.
Acting on the Telangana government’s recommendation, the Centre has granted a seven-month extension. This decision allows Ramakrishna Rao to continue serving as the state’s Chief Secretary, ensuring continuity in administrative leadership.
With the extension in place, Ramakrishna Rao will now remain in office until March 2026, overseeing key government functions and ongoing developmental initiatives in Telangana.
