Violent incidents started on the day of polling continuing even after in Andhra Pradesh. The state police seem to be clueless on handling law and order scenarios. Particularly, TDP leaders are being attacked here and there in the state.

This has been raising concerns among TDP ranks on the security of its chief and former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu. Though he has been provided Z plus category on the orders of the Court, several times breach of his security network was reported, causing worry.

Chandrababu’s security issues became a point of discussion in political circles on several occasions during the pre-election campaign. In the wake of concerns over Chandrababu’s security in AP and worsening law and order scenario in the state, the Center has increased his security for TDP chief.

For the last three days, the chief security officers from the Center have inspected all the places where Chandrababu travels from his residence. At the TDP office, at Karrakatta, at Chandrababu Naidu’s residence, as well as the routes from Gannavaram Airport to Karakatta and other places were inspected.

After a thorough review on his security, the authorities have identified the need to increase the security of Chandrababu Naidu and to this extent, 24 SPG Black Cat Commandos have been assigned in two batches of 12 x 12 at his residence.

Why Chandrababu’s security has been increased so much has become an interesting discussion in political circles. Is he in any danger? The Central officials seem to be alerted on the advice of Intelligence reports, which may suggest some possible security risk.

Interestingly at the same time the Center has reduced security of two of its tall leaders. They are Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. Increasing protection to Chandrababu Babu has led to an interesting discussion in Delhi’s political circles.
