Telugu Desam Party national president and Chief Minister designate Chandra Babu Naidu has been elected as legislative party leader of NDA alliance in Andhra Pradesh ahead of his oath taking ceremony on Wednesday. All the elected MLAs of TDP, Janasena and BJP parties convened a meeting in Vijayawada on Tuesday morning at A Convention Hall to unanimously appoint Naidu as Chief Minister of the state.
Janasena supremo and Pithapuram MLA Pawan Kalyan was effusive in his speech on Chandra Babu Naidu. He said Naidu’s vast experience and immense leadership qualities are very essential for the development of our state during the dire situation. Pawan Kalyan reiterated the promise made by Janasena not to spilt the anti-incumbency votes against the government and called the election results a victory of Andhra Pradesh people. He also reminded the cadre that this is not the time for vindictive politics and development of state is the top priority. He proposed Naidu as the leader of the legislative party.
BJP state president Daggubati Purandeswari also seconded Pawan Kalyan’s proposal and said Chandra Babu Naidu will navigate the state through the crisis and put it on the road to development. She added that the people of Andhra emerged as formidable force to put an end to the political tyranny that has been prevailing in the last five years. She called NDA alliance of three parties is like confluence of rivers, Triveni Sangamam.
