CBN’s deal not pleased Prashant Kishore?

Popular political strategist and founder of Indian Political Action Committee ( I-PAC) Prashant Kishor finally opened up about the ongoing rumours relating to his association with the Telugu Desam Party in the upcoming elections. There have been numerous speculations for many months that Chandra Babu Naidu has been desperately trying to rope in PK to provide election consultancy just like how I-PAC did for YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in 2019.

Adding more fuel to this news, Prashant Kishor accompanied Nara Lokesh to Naidu’s house last month. He spend a couple of hours with both leaders. However, he stated to the media that it was just a courtesy visit but nothing else. But, this meeting made everyone believe that PK will work for TDP at any cost.

Putting an end to all these rumours, PK in his recent media interaction revealed that he is not working for any political party. When asked then why he visited Chandra Babu Naidu’s home last, PK clarified ” A common friend and notable politician asked me repeatedly to work for TDP. When I said no to his proposal, he insisted me to convey the same to Naidu personally. So, I visited him and told the same”.

This explanation from Prashant Kishor seems to be far from reality because he wouldn’t have travelled all the way to Vijayawada just to express his unavailability. It is a known fact that Nara Lokesh met PK several times during his visit to Delhi when Naidu was in jail in November. Moreover, he also came to meet Naidu a few days ago again. So, if he is really not in the mood to work for TDP, there is no point in coming here and meeting Naidu again and again.

Talk among political circles is that Chandra Babu Naidu is very determined to use the resources of PK. But, he is not willing to pay the price quoted by PK. Last time, Jagan paid a hefty sum to PK’s IPAC for playing an instrumental role in putting the YSRCP on the victory lap.

Reports suggest that Naidu offered just around 100 Crores for PK to provide him election related consultancy. But, PK felt that it was a very small amount considering his track record as a strategist. Hence, he declined the offer. To avoid any further rumours, PK now simply denies the news about his association with TDP.

Why would PK stop working on electioneering when it will help him pocket huge amount? He would have definitely accepted had Naidu offered him a handsome deal.
