The general elections of 2024 are approaching in less than two years from now and the opposition party TDP has begun its candidate selection along with the pre-election campaigning.
TDP’s National head Chandrababu Naidu has been touring the districts one by one and raising the much-needed heat among the supporters of the party and his son Nara Lokesh will commence a full-fledged Padhya Yatra from the 27th of next year January. In this regard, the Chief is keen on finalizing the candidates way before the elections to go with a perfect campaign. According to the sources close to TDP, Mr. Naidu has already prepared his own list on the back of his experience among the party leaders in each constituency. In parallel, the party’s official strategist Robin Sharma is said to be preparing his own candidates list based on their strength, background, caste, region, and opponent. The ex-CM would then compare both lists and finalize those who are common in both lists. For those uncommon names, he will sit with important leaders and take a final call.
Experts say that this would work wonders for the party as the list gets finalized a year before the elections, TDP can deal with the last-minute defectors and jumpers so that it can have solid campaigning.
