CBN to replace Yanamala family from Tuni

Friday, December 20, 2024

The TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu is gearing up for the upcoming general elections of 2024 and he is busy finalizing candidates for the party. At this juncture, the veteran politician is replacing long-time bonded friends.

Yanamala Ramakrishnudu is one of the core members of the TDP right from its beginning and he played a crucial role in building up the party in united Andhra Pradesh. The ex-MLA of Tuni who created a record by winning six times in a row from the TDP ticket has been lost in the 2009 and 2014 elections and yet he was given cabinet positions for the sake of seniority and importance. In 2019, his brother Krishna got a ticket but he also failed miserably and now CBN is thinking of replacing the Yanamala family in Tuni. With the new rule of not giving tickets to the contestants who lost twice in a row, now the ex-CM of AP has found a replacement. Former MLA Raja Ashok Babu met CBN and it seems the chief is looking forward to giving a chance to Babu this time from Tuni against YSRCP’s Dadisetty Raja.

Ashok won in 2009 under the APCC ticket and lost in 2019 when he tried his luck with Janasena. Now Babu’s meeting with CBN ahead of the elections indicates that he would leave Janasena for the 2024 elections. Meanwhile, Yanamala is lobbying for his daughter’s ticket for Kakinada rural.
