Buzz on ‘Project K’ overshadows ‘Salaar’ hype

Prabhas’ highly anticipated action drama Salaar with KGF director Prashanth Neel is gearing up for a massive release on September 28th. The heady combination of Prabhas and Neel is one of the reasons why the hype on the film is so unprecedented. The scintillating first teaser further augmented the expectations. As the anticipation for Salaar is set to build exponentially with the release date fast approaching, a surprise publicity campaign from the makers of Project K has overshadowed it.

Project K is slated for release next year. Though there is ample time for promotions and other aspects, the team has decided to generate buzz on the film well ahead of time. They chose the renowned Comic-con event at San Diego in USA to release the title and the first glimpse of this big-budget entertainer. There are wild speculations on social media platforms about the title and the genre of the film.

The storm created by Salaar teaser is now dwarfed by the hype surrounding Project K. It is quite unexpected from Project K team to chalk out such an aggressive promotional activity so early before the film’s release. That too even before the release of Salaar.

Prabhas usually doesn’t want upcoming films to obscure the hype on his immediate releases. This is why he didn’t want the teaser of Salaar to be out before the release of Adipurush. But, he seems to have changed his mind about Salaar and Project K because of the hype both these films are generating. It seems like he wants to make a strong comeback.

Meanwhile, Neel has his task cut out. He will need to come up with a sensational trailer to draw the attention of moviegoers from Project K towards Salaar.
