BRS MLAs wore Black Badges protesting Insulting Remarks on women MLAs

BRS legislators wore black badges and attended the Assembly session on Thursday protesting against Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Deputy Chief Minister  Bhatti Vikramarka’s insulting remarks against women MLAs. They demanded an immediate apology from the CM and Deputy CMs. They are shouting slogans in the assembly.

Amid protests by BRS MLAs, Minister Sridhar Babu introduced the Skill University Bill in the House. But the women MLAs insisted that they should be given a chance to speak. Shridhar Babu said that raising slogans in the House is against the rules.

expressed anger that the way BRS was acting in the House was not fair.  He accused that for BRS their political future is more important than the benefit of the youth. He praised that despite the differences in ideologies of Congress and BJP, the BJP is cooperating for smooth conduct of the house keeping in view of the future of the youth. He cautioned that the youth of the state would observe the antics of the BRS members.

Meanwhile, condemning the “shameful and disgraceful” behaviour of Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister in the State Assembly, BRS members served an adjournment motion seeking for discussion on the issue in the House.

Taking to X, BRS working president KT Rama Rao expressed outrage over the treatment of senior legislators P Sabitha Indra Reddy and P Sunita Laxma Reddy by the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister during the Assembly session on Wednesday. “The behaviour of the Chief Minister and the Deputy Chief Minister towards women in the Assembly was highly humiliating. It shocked and surprised me,” he stated.

“It’s a shame to speak so lightly of such respected women leaders,” he added. KTR accused Congress leaders  of showing a deep-seated disdain for women through their remarks. “Women are observing the behaviour of Congress leaders,” he cautioned.

On the otherhand, the  BRS called for State-wide protests and to burn the effigies of Revanth Reddy in all district headquarters on Thursday, condemning the latter’s derogatory remarks. However, the protests commenced soon after the Assembly was adjourned on Wednesday, with the BRS leaders burning the effigies in several parts of the State.
