Tuesday, January 14, 2025

While the Karimnagar police arrested BRS MLA Kaushik Reddy in Hyderabad on Monday evening in a dramatic way, soon after he was produced before the majistret on Tuesday morning, he was given bail. Also, the remand report on the Kaushik Reddy case was dismissed as all the cases were bailable sections.

The police produced Kaushik Reddy before the Karimnagar Second Additional Judicial Magistrate after conducting a medical examination at the Karimnagar Three Town Police Station. However, the BRS legal team has filed a petition to reject Kaushik Reddy’s remand report.

The Magistrate has granted bail to  Kaushik Reddy with a surety of Rs. 50,000 and two sureties. Huzurabad MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy said that there is no fear of such illegal arrests under any circumstances.

On Tuesday morning, while being taken from Karimnagar Three Town Police Station to appear before the magistrate, he shouted `Jai Telangana’ from the police vehicle. He said that illegal cases were filed against him for deposing an MLA who had sold out, and he was kept in the police station all night during the festival.

He cautioned Chief Minister Revanth Reddy stating that he will not be afraid of how many illegal cases were filed against him. He made it clear that he would continue to question him until the six guarantees are implemented.

On the other hand, in the wake of Padi Kaushik Reddy, the police are detaining BRS leaders everywhere, preventing them from taking up agitations. BRS Executive president KTR was placed under house arrest in Gachibowli, Hyderabad, and Harish Rao in Kokapet.

A heavy police presence was deployed near their residences in Gachibowli and Kokapet, Hyderabad. They prevented them from leaving the house. It seems that a total of 5 cases have been registered against Padi Kaushik Reddy. Three cases were registered in Karimnagar One Town and two cases in Three Town PS.

The police told the BRS legal team that cases have been registered against Padi Kaushik Reddy under a total of 12 sections. They said that these cases were registered based on the complaints of RDO Maheshwar and MLA Sanjay Kumar.
