Hyderabad: BRS leaders on Thursday visited Sri Tej, a boy undergoing treatment at KIMS Hospital after being severely injured in the stampede at Sandhya Theatre. Among the leaders present were MLAs Harish Rao, Vivekananda, Bandaru Laxma Reddy, and senior leaders Errabelli Dayakar Rao, Srinivas Goud, and Naveen Rao. The leaders inquired about Sri Tej’s health condition from the doctors and his family and assured their support to the affected family.
Speaking to the media, Harish Rao stated that the doctors at KIMS assured them that Sri Tej is receiving the best possible treatment and expressed hope for his swift recovery. He added that former Chief Minister KCR has directed the party to provide moral support to Sri Tej’s father, Bhaskar. Rao also offered prayers for the soul of Revathi, who lost her life in the incident.
Harish Rao criticized the government for allegedly politicizing the tragedy, stating, “The Chief Minister should not use this incident to intimidate the film industry. The Sandhya Theatre stampede is being turned into a political issue. The CM has never visited families of those who died in Gurukul incidents. Additionally, if a sarpanch commits suicide in the state, why hasn’t the CM’s brother, accused in the case, been arrested? A CM who claims the law is equal for all must ensure action is taken against his own family as well.”
