BRS leader RS Praveen Kumar has criticized the Andhra Pradesh government’s decision to initiate an inquiry against former CID Chief and senior IPS officer PV Sunil Kumar. In a post on social media platform X, Kumar questioned the ongoing harassment of Sunil Kumar, suggesting that it stemmed from his caste and the absence of prominent surnames in his name. He expressed his belief that this was the harsh reality faced by many individuals in the system.
Kumar also pointed out the disparity in treatment between Sunil Kumar and other prominent political figures such as Raghu Ramakrishna Raju, questioning how Raju, despite his controversial actions, remained free from legal repercussions.
The BRS leader emphasized that Sunil Kumar, a dedicated police officer who has served the nation for over three decades, had consistently faced injustice despite his efforts and qualifications. He criticized the lack of media attention to Sunil Kumar’s struggles and the selective support given to certain individuals based on political or social advantage.
Praveen Kumar also expressed concern about the judiciary’s composition, claiming that the system was heavily influenced by the dominant ruling class, making it difficult for individuals like Sunil Kumar to find justice.
In his closing remarks, Praveen Kumar urged Sunil Kumar to stop suffering in silence and instead take a proactive stance in seeking justice. He encouraged him to disregard bureaucratic inquiries and continue fighting for fairness, urging him to keep moving forward and challenge any form of injustice.
